Azzaam Bvulani is the Acting CEO of the iWayAfrica Group. He was until recently a Senior Executive in Corporate Business Development of Telkom SA Ltd. Azzaam has been with Telkom Business Development since joining Telkom six years ago, and has been instrumental in the development and execution of Telkom's International Expansion Strategy from a Mergers and Acquisition perspective. Azzaam is well traveled, having lived and worked in Africa, Europe and the Americas regions. Prior to Telkom, Azzaam worked for LogicaCMG in the Americas Region, Nokia Networks, MTN and Deloittes Consulting. Azzaam possesses valuable international commercial and business expertise as well as extensive knowledge of the dynamics within telecoms markets in emerging markets and Africa in particular, which he will bring to the fore in his newly assigned role.
As a qualified Chartered Accountant, Hinrichsen filled various internal audit and financial management functions in various multinational companies in both South Africa and the United Kingdom. He joined the iWayAfrica group in early 2007 as the group finance manager, and was appointed the group CFO in November 2008, where he relocated to the group's head office in Mauritius.
Sibusiso's vast experience and knowledge includes working in Africa, United States and Latin America for The Coca-Cola Company and Group RCI as a vice president and senior vice president, respectively. An international relations graduate of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, he is uniquely qualified and experienced to enhance our company's brand equity in every country where we do business. Previous positions includes CEO (Africa Operations) of Group RCI, vice president and director of The Coca-Cola Company, chief strategy, and corporate officer of Cell C, South Africa's third mobile operator.
Before becoming the company's Chief Technical Officer, Ekow Thompson led the group's technology office and was the General Manager for Africa Online Ghana. He holds a BSc Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and has almost 20 years experience in the Information and Communication Technology arena. Starting his career as an application developer, he has developed into an experienced IT and communication specialist with successful deployments of Mobile Broadband Wireless, WiMax and IP/MPLS networks across Africa to his credit.
With a Bachelors of Business Administration and National Diploma in Electronic Engineering, Chellan began his career with Telkom as a radio engineer with special focus on wireless networks (including point-to-point microwave and SDH solutions). From there he became the pre-sales engineer of GSM infrastructure at Ericsson until he was promoted to Technical Manager with account responsibility for MTN Cameroon. Before heading the operations support office at iWayAfrica, Chellan headed product development for MTN Business which saw him deliver innovative technical and commercial solutions to business markets. His experience with ICT, dealings with the enterprise market and formal studies toward a Masters in Business Leadership, make him perfect for his current position as iWayAfrica's acting Group Sales Manager.
Managing Director of iWayAfrica Services, Ndege has over 15 years experience in telecommunications, data networking, software design and computer systems. He joined iWayAfrica in 2001 and for the last ten years has been involved in the deployment of satellite communications and VSAT networks in the enterprise market in Africa. His education at the Saïd Business School of Oxford University, School of Business Leadership of the University of South Africa and education from University of Nairobi have helped him design and implement iWayAfrica's Broadband shared Hub services. Ndege is currently responsible for iWayAfrica's operations.
